LIZ BRADFIELD
Naturalist
Liz grew up on the shores of Puget Sound. Her undergraduate work balanced marine sciences with literature, and upon graduation she went to work for Lindblad Expeditions as a deckhand, an experience that inspired her to become a naturalist. After learning in the field as an assistant for projects on birds and marine mammals, she worked for five years as a kayak guide and naturalist on Cape Cod, lecturing primarily on whales, sea birds, and marine ecosystems. Liz brings with her a wide-ranging fascination for the natural world. She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Alaska, Anchorage, and her poems have been published in many national publications, including The Atlantic Monthly. She currently calls Anchorage, Alaska home.
