As shipyard engineers continue work on National Geographic Explorer’s renovation, a team of folks at Lindblad Headquarters continues to develop and build itineraries for her inaugural season. This week, we announce a brand new voyage along North America’s Atlantic Coast.

This 13-day/12-night program, From the Canadian Maritimes to the Straits of Florida, pairs the natural beauty of the east coast in autumn and the stunning south Atlantic coast with the financial and political capitals of the nation, and the world, New York City and Washington D.C.

Beginning in Halifax, Nova Scotia, our voyage explores the splendors of the Canadian Maritimes and the northeastern U.S. coastline during fall foliage. We’ll make special visits to the headquarters of Lindblad Expeditions (in New York City) and both the National Geographic Society and Smithsonian Institution (in D.C.).

We then sail the length of the scenic Chesapeake Bay, and visit the historic settlements at Yorktown and Jamestown. Explore Antebellum South under the moss draped live oaks and historic architecture of Charleston before visiting Georgia’s serene Cumberland Island and Florida’s perfect town of Fernandina Beach.
