The coast of Southeast Alaska and British Columbia is a maze of fjords, channels, rivers and glaciers gliding towards the sea. This majestic region is ideally suited for small ship Alaska cruising and it enables up close and personal exploration from Seattle, Washington to Alaska's Glacier Bay National Park, including the San Juan Islands. This wilderness expedition Alaska cruise travels through some of the most spectacular scenery in North America, sailing past mist-shrouded fjords and tidewater glaciers. Those who have traveled to Alaska know that these waters are among the best for whale watching, and we'll explore in search of humpback and orca whales on all of our expeditions.
Along the way, meet people of Native American, Russian and Scandinavian ancestries. Certain members of our Expedition Team have worked with the area's Native American leaders for years and will share from their experiences. Kayak, beachcomb and explore forest trails, all the while learning from our expert Naturalists. You may also join our optional land extension to Denali National Park.
*Note: The September departures travel from Sitka to Seattle and include a stop in Juneau.
