National Geographic Explorer

A New Expedition Vessel for Lindblad Expeditions

On August 6, our new ship National Geographic Explorer was formally christened with a toast to the future of the vessel and those that will travel on her. And so, with a new name and the first guests aboard, National Geographic Explorer begins life as a first-class expedition ship with state-of-the-art tools and technology for the ultimate experience in exploring life above and below the sea.

Click below to view photos from her inaugural voyage and the first Daily Expedition Reports posted from Iceland with the first of many landings and a bright future of many years of exploration.
