BUD LEHNHAUSEN
Expedition Leader

Bud received an undergraduate degree in wildlife biology at Colorado State University. He then immediately went to Alaska where he worked and lived for 30 years. At the University of Alaska, Fairbanks Bud studied wildlife biology and received a MS degree conducting research on 4 species of alcid seabird nesting on a remote island in the Gulf of Alaska. DAVID BARNES
Historian

David studied history at the University of York in England and the University of Wales, Cardiff and religious studies at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. He has spent most of his professional life teaching history, most recently in adult education departments within the University of Wales. Read more

DAVID STEPHENS
DAVID STEPHENS
Naturalist

David was born in England, and grew up close to Washington D.C. He studied biology at the College of William and Mary, then moved west. David worked for many years as a Park Naturalist at Olympic and Acadia National Parks, and first traveled on the M/V Sea Lion as a Glacier Bay Park Naturalist. Since joining Lindblad, David has traveled to many areas, from the far north, through the tropics, to the deep south. David's first interest is birds, but he most enjoys sharing interconnections in nature with fellow travelers. ERIC GUTH
ERIC GUTH
Naturalist

Eric began working with Lindblad Expeditions in 2005 and has traveled with the company from Alaska’s Glacier Bay National Park, to Cabo San Lucas on the Baja Peninsula. He has also been a guest aboard the National Geographic Polaris in the Galápagos, which led to a month long solo-trip through the highlands of Ecuador. As a personal challenge, he traveled the entire month out of a school-sized backpack, strengthening his belief that less is more: more efficient, more inconspicuous and more rewarding. Read more

IAN BULLOCK
Naturalist

Ian Bullock is a British biologist who lives in St. Davids, Pembrokeshire, on the south-western seaboard of Wales. He grew up in Cambridge but was always drawn to the rugged cliffs of the west coast, from childhood seaside holidays in Cornwall to his university training as a zoologist in Bangor, North Wales.
