Time Lapse of an Antarctic Research Vessel

This short video shot by Antarctic researchers Dr. Frederique Oliver during a recent voyage aboard an Australian icebreaker offers a quick behind-the-scenes look at some of the work being done to measure and test our changing oceans. The researchers work continually throughout the voyage testing seawater samples from various depths for their levels of salt, acid, nitrate and phosphates. Lindblad Expeditions sponsored similar testing in Baja California’s Sea of Cortez with Dr. Bill Gilly of National Geographic.
