Copenhagen One-Night Pre-Extension

Explore Denmark's Cosmopolitan Capital City

Before embarking National Geographic Explorer, spend an extra night in Copenhagen and explore the city. Enjoy an exclusive culinary experience with a local chef; discover Copenhagen's fascinating history; explore its most picturesque spots, including both Rosenborg Castle and Christiansborg Palace; and get a birds-eye view of the city from atop the Round Tower.

Day 1

Arrive Copenhagen/Afternoon Excursion

Arrive this morning in Copenhagen, Denmark’s cosmopolitan capital city and enjoy early check in to your room at the Phoenix Copenhagen Hotel. If you wish, you have the option of checking in the night before. Later this afternoon, join us for an exclusive culinary experience at one of the city’s esteemed cooking schools. Using a delectable array of classic, seasonal ingredients, create, alongside a local chef, a three-course meal inspired by traditional Danish dishes, fused with New-Nordic cuisine. Enjoy your meal and get to know your fellow travelers over a glass of wine before returning to the hotel for the evening. (D)

Day 2

Start the day with breakfast and then depart the hotel on foot as we discover Copenhagen with a local guide. Get a bird’s eye view of the city from the Round Tower and discover Copenhagen’s fascinating history as you see both Rosenborg Castle and Christiansborg Palace. Stroll the picturesque, waterfront district of Nyhavn, dating back to the 17th-century before returning to the hotel to meet up with the rest of your fellow travelers for embarkation.  (B)
