This morning, we woke up in the Gulf of Nicoya on the northwest coast of Costa Rica. We were just in front of the pristine forest of the Curú Wildlife Refuge, our destination for the day.

After a great breakfast, we set off in our trusty Zodiacs and split into small groups to walk the trails of Curú. Wildlife is usually quite visible here, and each walk offered great views of the animals that live in this tropical deciduous forest. Today was particularly special. Guests who decided to take it easy and stay by our landing station were visited by a lot of wildlife, including white-faced monkeys, mantled howler monkeys, deer, coatimundis, Central American agoutis, and scarlet macaws. The wildlife show actually came to the guests! It was a great day indeed at Curú Wildlife Refuge.
