The day started with a light rain that cleared out as soon as we disembarked. We took a pre-breakfast outing to explore a narrow creek. We looked for small lifeforms in the abundance of vegetation. We observed small birds, hawks, grasshoppers, spiders, and snakes along the way. As we floated alongside the flooded forest, we had breakfast. This special meal was accompanied by the calls of howler monkeys in the distance and woodpeckers close to our site.

In the afternoon, the group went kayaking. Later, we explored the Yarapa River in skiffs. This area is the meeting point of some tributaries, so we spotted dolphins. They are attracted to these waters because of the fish.

The day ended with a beautiful sunset. Woolly monkeys put on a show up in the branches as we made our way back to the ship.
