Quote of the day: “…out of desperation, I looked at a murrelet.”

There have been dozens of new sightings for all of us in this time exploring the coasts of British Columbia, Haida Gwaii, and Southeast Alaska. Today we had a serpentine navigation through Wrangell Narrows that brought us to the small town of Petersburg. Over the course of the day, we were introduced to the muskeg environment, and we trolled the harbor and learned of the different fishing boats. We photographically captured snippets of town, and we ended our day in Frederick Sound with portable cheesecake out on deck as we viewed a lone male killer whale slowly making its way towards Petersburg.
