Today National Geographic Islander visited Floreana Island. We had an early morning hike to Punta Cormorant and saw Galapagos flamingos, as well as some chicks, feeding in a beautiful brackish lagoon. We then headed back to the ship for breakfast, and to reenergize for the next activity – snorkeling in the crystal waters of Champion Islet. We encountered sharks, sea turtles and many colorful fish! Later, we headed to Post Office Bay were Cindy, our expedition leader explained its history. Some guests partook in the tradition of leaving postcard behind, thus relying on the kindness of the next set of travelers for delivery.
