Today was our last day aboard National Geographic Islander and we visited San Cristobal Island. In the morning, we dropped anchor at the easternmost point of the Galapagos archipelago, Punta Pitt. The trail is a water ravine that led us to the top of the lower tuff cone, where we photographed the outstanding landscape. Along the trail, we encountered a blue-footed booby couple—the female was in the nest with two young chicks and an unhatched egg. Not much further away we observed red-footed boobies nesting in bushes and flying around us. After this incredible hike, our guests had time to swim and snorkel along the coastal area.

The afternoon was spent at Cerro Brujo, a white powdery sand beach is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the Galapagos. Our guests had the opportunity to walk along the shore and enjoy some time with Galapagos sea lions. We had a fantastic week in this magical place!
