Early in the morning with the first light of the day, we began to explore a very small creek near Yarapa River. Paradise tanagers showed up, along with red scarlet macaws flying high in the sky. After breakfast, we visited another creek and encountered wooly monkeys, and a very friendly spider monkey who greeted us as we approached the riverbank.

In the afternoon we learned about the social program we support here in the Amazon called Minga Peru, which aids local families and especially women to start their own businesses to empower themselves and gain independence.
