Carlyn Iverson

Carlyn Iverson was born in Montana and raised in Texas while her father worked for NASA. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota, she began a lifelong career working in the sciences as an artist. From anatomical dissection guides and college-level textbooks, to exhibit design and 3D sculpture, her career has spanned the realm of visualizations for the sciences.

Carlyn’s lifelong mission has been to bring the beauty and complexity of our natural world to others through her work and teachings. Recent projects include the design and implementation of the Charles Darwin Exhibition Hall in the Galápagos and illustrating the Atlas of the Galápagos underwritten by the World Wildlife Fund. Additional projects include sculpture work for the Natural History Museum in Kuwait, and the new exhibit hall design and fabrication work for the Raptor Center of Minnesota.
