Grosvenor Teacher Fellow
Kyle Tredinnick (MA) has been active in teaching geography since graduating from St. Cloud State University with a degree in social studies education. He has taught geography at a number of public and private high schools in China, Minnesota and now Nebraska. Along with teaching, he has been active as a member of the Minnesota Alliance for Geographic Education (MAGE), a Steering Committee member of the Geography Educators of Nebraska (GEON), and part of the leadership committee for the 2019 Nebraska Social Studies Standards Revision. Kyle has been active with National Geographic as a 2017 National Geographic Grosvenor Teacher Fellow to Iceland, and a teacher trainer for the Geoinquiry process. He has also been selected as a Goethe Institute Transatlantic Outreach Program Fellow, and has been awarded the K-12 Distinguished Educator Award by the National Council of Geographic Education (NCGE), and the Gildersleeve-Stoddard-Stone award for Commitment to Geography Education for the state of Nebraska. Kyle recently completed a Master’s degree in Human Geography at the University of Nebraska Omaha. Outside of work Kyle enjoys staying active playing hockey and traveling.
