Sarah Sclarsic is a biosciences researcher and technology entrepreneur. She has built several technology start-up companies focused on reducing carbon emissions. She co-founded Getaround, one of the world’s largest carsharing companies. She was an early employee a Modern Meadow, a biotechnology company that pioneered a novel way to make real leather without animals.
Sarah is currently in the Master’s program at the MIT Media, in the Synthetic Neurobiology research group. She is interested in developing tools to solve tough problems in the biosciences, and to stabilize the climate through carbon sequestration, atmospheric drawdown of greenhouse gases, and ocean de-acidification.
