Grosvenor Teacher Fellow
Shannon Bomben is a high school educator from a small town near Windsor, Ontario, Canada so how exactly did she get here? After receiving her teaching qualifications, she headed to South Korea where she began teaching at an international school. After extending her contract, and visiting over 20 countries, she headed home and helped to open a pilot private school focusing on project-based learning where she still works today
In 2015, she became a Grosvenor Teacher Fellow with National Geographic and circumnavigated Iceland in a life changing professional development expedition. Immediately upon her return, she was inspired to work towards a Masters Degree in Education with a research focus on how better to expand the worldview of students through environmental and multicultural project based learning. Today she is honoured to be aboard as a Grosvenor Teacher Fellow alum. and is excited to share her experiences with her students and colleagues upon her return. Please say hello to Shannon when you see her and ask her more about her role as a Grosvenor Teacher Fellow. She is excited to experience the Galapagos with all of you!
