Teresa Montanino has been a professional massage therapist for over 15 years. Since discovering the Galápagos Islands in 2005, she has worked on numerous environmental projects and is excited to share this rich experience.
Teresa is a fully registered massage therapist and member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. She graduated from Sutherland-Chan in Toronto and the Upledger Institute in Chicago where she also gained osteopathic-based experience.
Her deep tissue work is solution-focused and integrated, with each session getting to the root of the issue and offering a fresh intuitive look at what is going on. Teresa’s practice is based upon supporting the client’s natural healthy flow. She is also an Ashtanga Yoga Instructor and applies fundamental yogic principles to therapeutic sessions.
Teresa also has numerous years of experience in sports massage, treating Olympic, ultramarathon, amateur athletes, as well as working with members of the Royal Canadian Ballet and professional musicians/performers. Her specialties include spinal column/postural issues, sports injuries, TMJ concerns, and pre/post-natal massage, which she trained for at the Women's College Hospital in Toronto.
