We had an absolutely beautiful morning, which is all we need to start a successful day of exploration in the deepest part of the vast Amazon rainforest. We began early today, and planned to enjoy our breakfast in the jungle a little later. Our journey on skiffs toward Belluda Creek took nearly two hours, exploring and photographing every creature we found there. Our day was quite special, due to the diversity of wildlife sightings as we explored the Belluda and Dorado Rivers.
As we explored the forest in the evening, we entered into caiman kingdom! We saw several of these reptiles resting on floating vegetation in the shallow waters. The trees were also full of surprises — we observed flocks of blue-and-yellow macaws, to the delight of everyone!
