Billy Morgan
Billy Morgan was raised in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley along the Appalachian Mountains and spent his entire childhood wandering the woods of his home. He fell in love with filmmaking while creating short films with his brother as a child and pursued his passion with any camera at his disposal. He found his true calling in crafting media to help people understand our planet. At 20 years old, Billy started professionally recording music and became a touring musician with a message of being stewards of the Earth. He worked in production at several news networks and carried that experience to the start of his career in filmmaking. Billy had a producing role for several programs on PBS, including the first season of Untamed. Most of the filming for the show took place at the Wildlife Center of Virginia, and it was hosted by their president and founder, Ed Clark.
In his spare time, Billy enjoys making videos of local natural wonders and capturing the essence of creative people through a camera lens. He believes that artists have an integral role in changing the world and became a founding member of The Pigment Sanctuary, a collective of underground artists spanning the East Coast of the USA. After touring the country, filming all the different environments along the way, he settled in Princeton, WV, and has spent the last couple of years assisting various nonprofit organizations in their pursuit of revitalizing southern West Virginia through the Arts.
