Hrund Gunnsteinsdottir

Gunnsteinsdottir is the Managing Director of Festa – centre for sustainability in Iceland. She is a board member of Eyrir Invest, Islandsbanki's Entrepreneurship Fund and the Investment Council at Eyrir Venture Management. She is a Managing Partner at the Nordic Circular Hotspot, leading resource on the circular economy in the Nordics and was the chair of Iceland's public grant Technology Development Fund, which supports innovation and entrepreneurship in Iceland. She is the Writer and one of two Directors of the feature documentary InnSæi, which explores the art of flourishing, leading and innovating in an age of distraction and transformation. She is part of the World Economic Forum Expert Network and has worked in various capacities for the United Nations since 2001 in the Balkans, Geneva and most recently in Bangladesh in 2020. Following the 2008 financial recession she designed and directed a cross-disciplinary diploma programme, recognized by the Nordic Council for its forward-thinking methods and responding well to 21. century work market. She has done a bit of work in the arts, namely poetry and playwriting and dedicated some of her time to public speaking around the world.

Gunnsteinsdottir is a Yale World Fellow and was named a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum in 2011. She brings together people, ideas, and methods from different sectors and disciplines to facilitate creative, holistic, and innovative outcomes.
