FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New York, NY (July 24, 2006) – Lindblad Expeditions, the nation’s leading small-ship, expedition travel company with roots founded in responsible tourism, announced a new Chief Operating Officer today, Terry Robertson, a seasoned luxury travel executive with decades of experience in the niche luxury travel market. Robertson was a founder and President of Grand Expeditions, a consolidation of high-end travel companies that included jet and yacht charters, safaris, expeditions and photographic tours. His experience in strategic planning and operations, sales and marketing, as well as in-depth knowledge of the luxury travel market makes Robertson an ideal candidate for Lindblad’s growing needs.

“We couldn’t be more pleased that Terry has agreed to join us full time,” said Sven Lindblad, President and CEO. “He is a tremendous asset on our team who can help take our growing company to the next level,” added Lindblad. Lindblad Expeditions is currently growing at 13% over last year. The company’s strategic partnership with The National Geographic Society and their new offerings to the South Pacific, Egypt, on the Danube River in Europe, and with the magnificent sailing vessel, the Sea Cloud II, have expanded the company’s offerings around the globe. Additionally, new program elements such as kayaking, wellness and National Geographic projects such as the Genographic Project and with photographic experts from the Society have kept the expedition travel leader ahead of the curve.
