NEW YORK, NY, August 2012 – Lindblad Expeditions‐National Geographic will continue to be the exclusive U.S. Tour Operator in 2013 of the Delfin II with 38 departures aboard the elegant 28‐passenger riverboat that voyages the Peruvian‐Amazon. Lindblad Expeditions controls all sales and marketing of the vessel in the United States, and is responsible for all bookings for Lindblad’s 10‐day expeditions exploring Peru’s Pacaya‐Samiria Reserve.

Built in 2009, the Delfin ll is a 120 ft. luxury river vessel that features a graceful, modern design with fine Peruvian woods and open, comfortable spaces for relaxing. Guest accommodations include four expansive master suites and ten suites – four of which can be interconnected to accommodate families. All provide panoramic, stunning river views and the luxuries of a world class suite with a casual, yet refined elegance. The dining room, observation deck, bar, reference library, and wooden slat hammock sun deck are lined with silken hardwoods, creating a comfortable, stylish base for exploration, and feature handicrafts by the ribereños who call this Reserve their home. Rates for the 10‐day “Upper Amazon: Exploring Peru’s Pacaya‐Samiria Reserve” begin at $5,590 per person based on double occupancy for 2012 departures, and $5,870 for 2013 departures. The voyage can be combined with a pre or post‐voyage expeditions to Galápagos or Machu Picchu, or a post‐voyage extension to Paracas and the Nasca Lines.
