Today was another day at sea after leaving St. Helena. In a couple days, we will land on Ascension.

St. Helena was fantastic, but sometimes we forget the beauty of sea days. We enjoy different presentations and time to relax. The weather has been absolutely fantastic and treated us kindly. It has pretty much been the “Atlantic Lake” for most of the trip.

Sea days help us better know the presenters and their interests and passions. Our first presenter was National Geographic photographer Massimo Bassano with his presentation, “Frank Hurley, Storyteller of the Cold.” Our next presenter was Carlos Garrandés with, “Primus Circumedisti Me: the Magellan-Elcano Expedition.” The last presenter was the fantastic Eduardo Shaw who told us about Edmond Halley. We also held round two of the National Geographic GeoBee led by Jim Kelley. It was quite competitive, and it will be interesting to see who will claim the final prize.

At the end of the day, we enjoyed recap. Guests and staff rushed to the sun deck to see the sunset, hoping for a glimpse of the legendary green flash.
