This is our second expedition day in the Galapagos islands and we are so excited to be back on track. Today, we visited the amazing western side of the archipelago, which has large colonies of iguanas, sea lions, penguins, and cormorants. It's been more than a year since our last visit. Mother nature has been untouched during these months and the creatures are relaxed, unaware of the troubles in the human world. For them, it was just a long break with no people. When we set foot on the shore of Fernandina we realized that life goes on and the spirit of this islands is ready to welcome us again.

Fernandina is home to thousands of marine iguanas, sea lions, crabs, sea turtles, and many other species of animals. This morning we also explored the shallow shore with snorkeling gear and the sightings were just fabulous! We had encounters with many fish, sea turtles, and marine iguanas foraging underwater!

In the afternoon we explored Punta Vicente Roca on Isabela island. This is another world with its own highlights and flavors. There is no landing site but there is an amazing cliff, part of an old collapsed volcano. Everywhere you look there is life of all kinds, such as iguanas, penguins, cormorants, and blue-footed boobies.

At the end of our day of exploration, we feel reunited with the spirit and the magic of the Enchanted Islands!
