Española Island

We started our last full day in the islands with a very active morning full of options and different outings. Snorkelers disembarked first to go around Gardner Islet, one of the most beautiful snorkelling sites we have around the archipelago. The underwater landscape around this islet is absolutely outstanding and of course full of wonderful fish and playful sea lions. Kayakers also had their chance in the morning along the shores of the same area, they enjoyed shore birds, marine birds, marine iguanas, crabs and the always cute sea lions. Our friends who wanted to relax on the beach enjoyed a white sandy beach full of Galápagos sea lions. Hundreds of pups where shyly wondering around the beach waiting for their mothers to come and nurse them.

The rock hike at Punta Suarez in the afternoon was highlighted by a spectacular amount of outstanding wildlife. Hundreds of colourful marine iguanas, large lava lizards, friendly Española mockingbirds, Galápagos hawks, and several waved albatrosses, made this last afternoon in the Galápagos an unforgettable one.
