Today National Geographic Endeavour II arrived at Genovesa Island. One look out of our window at the sunrise and we saw that we were in paradise. Birds were flying all over the place, and their sounds encouraged us to get ready for the day’s activities. After a delicious buffet breakfast, we were off for the first hike of the day. Here we saw red-footed boobies all over. In addition, we spotted a short-eared owl. This little owl was ready to hunt petrels. And we got some pictures of action!

Paddleboarding, kayaking, and snorkeling were our options for exploring inside the caldera of Genovesa Island; we had so much fun being out in the company of wildlife. Genovesa Island was the perfect place to finish this expedition. Those memories are going to stay forever with us.
