National Geographic Sea Lion anchored this morning off Isla Murcielago. Olive Ridley turtle tracks were found on the portions of the beach where female turtles layed their egg clutches the night before. Guests enjoyed grand island vistas, hikes, and tropical fish on the snorkel.

Birgit Bruhleier our onboard National Geographic expert gave a presentation on the development and use of the critter cam that she and her husband pioneered. A fascinating talk and subject.

The evening’s sunset over Bahia Santa Elena closed out our day with calls of parrots along the shore of the tropical dry forest seeking an evening roost.
