National Geographic Orion spent the day at sea, leaving Attu in its wake and sailing into Russian waters. The fog came and went all day, periodically showcasing sea birds, whales, and Dall’s porpoise. While surrounded by the ocean, everyone onboard stayed busy with educational presentations, wildlife viewing, and celebrating crossing the International Date Line. It proved to be a full day as the morning began on July 30th and the sun set on July 31st.
