From the bow in the morning, guests and naturalists watched for wildlife, and they saw lots of birds, sea otters, sea lions, and humpback whales. We found three whales feeding near each other and they offered some very close views. A smartphone photography talk in the lounge was interrupted several times with nice views of more humpback whales and some eagles feeding nearby.

After lunch, half of the group went kayaking and the other half went on a Zodiac tour. The wind began to swirl, and the kayakers were happy to return after the challenge. Guests enjoyed Zodiac tours, even as the wind whipped up and created a very splash filled adventure on their way back to the ship. Everyone spent the late afternoon relaxing and watching a film until cocktail hour and recap began.
