Today, the last day of the ocean portion of the trip, we visit Half Moon Caye Natural Monument (HMCNM), the furthest from the mainland of Belize’s three atolls, and one of the only four atolls in the Western Hemisphere.  We went ashore for various activities.  One could choose to walk towards a nesting bird colony to have amazing looks at nesting magnificent frigatebirds and red-footed boobies.  We could also choose to go out snorkeling looking for animals within the coral reefs.  We had great views of various animals in their natural habitats.  It was windy, to say the least, but this did not deter us at all from any of the outings!
