After a couple of cloudless and warm days we awoke to a more typical Southeast Alaska morning on approach to Port Althorp with tendrils of fog draping the forest and a light mist of rain enveloping the ship. I really enjoyed leading a fun two-hour hike at the head of the bay to a salmon stream and into the beautiful temperate rainforest with a group of guests. This afternoon our fleet of Zodiacs provided the perfect platform for a wildlife cruise in the Inian Islands with great sightings of Steller sea lions and sea otters. These images tell more of the day's story.
