Today we spent the day exploring the island of Santa Cruz, one of the four inhabited islands in Galapagos. Santa Cruz actually has the largest human population in the archipelago and is considered the economic hub of the province. Passengers spent the morning learning about the important research being done at the Charles Darwin Foundation.

Afterwards, we spent the afternoon looking for the Santa Cruz giant tortoise in the wild in a beautiful ranch in the highlands. We ended the day enjoying live music and dance performed by local artists onboard. Guests danced Ecuadorian rhythms. This was a fantastic last day of the year celebrating onboard National Geographic Endeavour II.
