We continued with our exploration of the flooded forest upstream along the Ucayali River. This was a truly special morning as we explored the river back of the Ucayali River looking for yellow and blue macaws—and we found them! A number of different birds too, among them swallow, trogons, herons, toucans and several kinds of monkeys.

In the afternoon we navigated for five hours to get to Zapote Creek, where our guests explored another section of the forest and were able to buy some souvenirs from the inhabitants of the area.
