As part of our Health and Safety Protocols, Lindblad Expeditions requires a negative COVID-19 test which will be administered by Lindblad staff prior to boarding. Please see our Health & Safety Protocols for details.

Lindblad Expeditions' protocols require all guests five years of age and older, to be fully vaccinated. All guests 12 years of age and over who completed their primary vaccine series more than 5 months ago are required to present proof of booster prior to embarkation. Guests 4 years of age and under, who are currently ineligible for vaccination, may travel. Effective September 1st, 2022, all guests 6 months to 4 years of age must present proof of full COVID-19 vaccination at least 14 days prior to boarding.

United States

Alaska, California Coast, Pacific Northwest, and Columbia & Snake River

  • For Alaska voyages that visit Canada, each traveler is required to create an ArriveCAN account prior to entering Canada. Please refer to the instructions for downloading the ArriveCAN app or signing into the web version of ArriveCAN in the Documents section of the Communications Portal.

Europe

Ancient Isles: England, Ireland & Scotland

  • There are currently no special COVID-19 protocols in place for any of the destinations visited on this program. Please note that this is subject to change at any time.

Corsica and Sardinia aboard Sea Cloud

For entering Italy and France:

  • There are currently no COVID testing requirements to enter Italy and France.
  • Each traveler, regardless of age, must present proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to enter Italy and France. Full vaccination is 14 days past the final dose of an FDA or WHO authorized vaccine or booster.
  • If it has been longer than nine months since the initial vaccination series was complete, France requires persons 18 years of age and older to have a booster of messenger RNA (mRNA) only. If you received the Johnson & Johnson booster, you are not eligible to enter France at this time.
  • Each person arriving in Italy and France must be prepared to show the original paper copy as well as an electronic copy of their CDC vaccination card reflecting their vaccination status. The CDC vaccination card is considered equivalent to the EU Digital COVID Certificate.

Mediterranean Gems: From Dubrovnik to Naples

For entering Italy and Croatia (and Bosnia if on the optional extension):

  • There are currently no COVID testing requirements to enter Italy and Croatia (and Bosnia if on the optional extension).
  • Each traveler, regardless of age, must present proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to enter Italy and Croatia (and Bosnia if on the optional extension). Full vaccination is 14 days past the final dose of an FDA or WHO authorized vaccine or booster.
  • Each person arriving in Italy and Croatia (and Bosnia if on the optional extension) must be prepared to show the original paper copy as well as an electronic copy of their CDC vaccination card reflecting their vaccination status. The CDC vaccination card is considered equivalent to the EU Digital COVID Certificate.

North Sea Voyage: Northern Europe and the Normandy Beaches

  • For Entering Germany: Travelers who have visited a high-risk area or area of variant of concern in the last ten days must register at www.einreiseanmeldung.de before arriving in Germany and carry proof of registration with them upon entry.
  • For Entering The Netherlands: You will need to show the following documents to the Dutch border authorities:
    • A completed 'Vaccine Declaration COVID-19' form. This paperwork will be completed once aboard National Geographic Explorer, and you do not need to take action before then.
  • For Entering France: France requires a messenger RNA vaccine. Therefore, if you received the Johnson & Johnson booster, you are not eligible to enter France at this time.
  • Aside from the countries listed above, the Lindblad Expeditions health & safety requirements fulfill all other protocols required by the other countries visited on this voyage.

Sailing the Ancient Shores of Sicily and Malta aboard Sea Cloud

For entering Italy:

  • There are currently no COVID testing requirements to enter Italy.
  • Each traveler, regardless of age, must present proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to enter Italy. Full vaccination is 14 days past the final dose of an FDA or WHO authorized vaccine or booster.
  • Each person arriving in Italy must be prepared to show the original paper copy as well as an electronic copy of their CDC vaccination card reflecting their vaccination status. The CDC vaccination card is considered equivalent to the EU Digital COVID Certificate.

For entering Malta:

  • There are currently no COVID testing requirements to enter Malta.
  • Each traveler, regardless of age, must present proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to enter Malta. Full vaccination is 14 days past the final dose of an FDA or WHO authorized vaccine or booster.
  • Each person arriving in Malta must be prepared to show the original paper copy as well as an electronic copy of their CDC vaccination card reflecting their vaccination status. The CDC vaccination card is considered equivalent to the EU Digital COVID Certificate.
  • If it has been longer than nine months since the initial vaccination series was complete, Malta requires persons 18 years of age and older to have a booster.
  • For Malta, CDC vaccination cards must be verified through the VeriFLY app to be accepted as a valid vaccination certificate. Sailing the Greek Isles aboard Sea Cloud

For entering Greece:

  • There are currently no COVID testing requirements to enter Greece.
  • Each traveler, regardless of age, must present proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to enter Greece. Full vaccination is 14 days past the final dose of an FDA or WHO authorized vaccine or booster.
  • Each person arriving in Greece must be prepared to show the original paper copy as well as an electronic copy of their CDC vaccination card reflecting their vaccination status. The CDC vaccination card is considered equivalent to the EU Digital COVID Certificate.

Under Sail: Greece to the Dalmatian Coast aboard Sea Cloud

For entering Greece, Albania, Montenegro, and Croatia (and Bosnia if on the optional extension):

  • There are currently no COVID testing requirements to enter Greece, Albania, Montenegro, and Croatia (and Bosnia if on the optional extension).
  • Each traveler, regardless of age, must present proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to enter Greece, Albania, Montenegro, and Croatia (and Bosnia if on the optional extension). Full vaccination is 14 days past the final dose of an FDA or WHO authorized vaccine or booster.
  • Each person arriving in Greece, Albania, Montenegro, and Croatia (and Bosnia if on the optional extension) must be prepared to show the original paper copy as well as an electronic copy of their CDC vaccination card reflecting their vaccination status. The CDC vaccination card is considered equivalent to the EU Digital COVID Certificate.

Peru & the Amazon

  • As of June 11, 2022, travelers must have proof of full vaccination, demonstrating they have received all the required vaccine doses at least 14 days before travel to Peru to be exempt from the requirement to provide proof of a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test. All travelers over the age of 12 must receive the third dose or booster dose to be considered fully vaccinated. No test is required of travelers under age 12 by Peru, only that they be without symptoms. All visitors 12 years of age or older who are not fully vaccinated must present a molecular test with a negative result (within 48 hours) prior to boarding an incoming flight to Peru, in accordance with current health regulations.
  • In addition, the Peruvian government requires that all travelers complete an Affidavit of Health and Geolocation Authorization online no more than 72 hours before departure. Details will be provided in your final documents.

Norway (for Arctic voyages), Iceland & Greenland

There are currently no special Covid-19 protocols in place for any of the countries mentioned above. Please note that this is subject to change at any time.

Galápagos & Ecuador

  • As of February 11, 2022, Ecuador has eliminated the requirement of a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR or Antigen test taken no more than 72 hours before departure for Ecuador for vaccinated travelers. Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result taken a maximum of 72 hours before boarding flight to Ecuador is required for travelers age 3 and over. The requirement does not apply to travelers under age 3. Proof of vaccination is required.
  • As of February 11, 2022, Galápagos has eliminated the requirement of a negative RT-PCR or Antigen test result taken within 72 hours of departure for the islands for vaccinated travelers. Proof of vaccination or a negative COViD-19 RT-PCR test result taken within 72 hours of boarding flight to Galapagos is required for travelers 3 and over. The requirement does not apply to travelers under age 3.
  • Airlines will verify that travelers have a valid vaccination card before boarding at the point of origin.
  • Travelers must also present a Health Declaration Form, which you can complete online. Details will be provided in your final documents.
