Today we found wonderful things as we explored Anita Bay. This protected waterway is located at the northwest corner of Etolin Island. The tide was very low, and many of the intertidal inhabitants were exposed. We were impressed with the beauty of the sea stars, cucumbers, mussels, and barnacles. During our Zodiac cruise, we saw several minks taking advantage of the low tide as they searched for food. We encountered a Sitka black-tailed deer walking along the shore.
