Today we are closing the circle of the inaugural trip of the National Geographic Resolution - our fantastic expedition to the Antarctic Peninsula, South Georgia and the Falkland Islands. Now, at last, we are making our way across the waters of the Falklands Shelf, past the small islands east of Tierra del Fuego and on to Ushuaia, where we began our voyage three weeks ago. It’s a quiet day on calm seas, and as we cruise past the unfamiliar forests we can take a little time to think back on all the unique moments and subtle details of our explorations. Soon the trip will be done and we will all return to our homes, but the wonderful experiences we have shared will weave together into a beautiful story that will be a part of us for many years to come.
