The day began with us cruising around the Skelligs, two uninhabited islands known for their incredible birdlife as well as the remains of a Christian monastery. We enjoyed watching gannets, razorbills, puffins, and guillemots fly in every direction around us.
In the afternoon, we went ashore in Dingle for a variety of activities. Some of us went on a tour of scenic Slea Head Drive, while others visited the Blasket Island Visitor Centre. Some guests opted to stay in town for shopping, pubs, and ice cream, while another group went for a hike in the village of Annascaul. There we visited Antarctic explorer Tom Crean’s grave and went for a pint at the pub he established, the South Pole Inn.
We set sail in the evening, aiming to reach the Cliffs of Moher at sunrise tomorrow. We are thankful for another day of sunshine on the beautiful Irish coast.
