Calm seas and almost no wind welcomed us into Ensenda Grande this morning on the island of Isla Partida. This volcanic island sports natural caves and various layers of colored ash; indicative of chemical signatures from different lava flows. We observed cacti of various species, including the cardon, prickly pear, cholla, and organ pipe. The canyon wren whistles a descending tone that carries well down the arroyo. Afternoon activities were all about the water with snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking, and swimming.
