Baltra Island
We try not to think too hard about the cold temperatures up north at this time of year, and the sea lions aren’t even aware such temperatures exist. While our guests are in the airport this morning, two young adults have been using our Zodiacs as their sunbathing platform. They briefly agreed (reluctantly) to allow us to use them (the Zodiacs) to ferry guests between ship and shore, but hopped back up as soon as they were left tied to the ship’s side.
What a perfect location! No rising or lowering tide to worry about, a warm smooth surface to lounge on, and if they stay on long enough, a breezy ride to the dock.
