At sea
It’s been a trip longer than any “usual” cruise, which is hardly surprising on an itinerary that is so very unusual. We have sailed 7555 nautical miles, and spanned over 83 degrees of latitude. That’s a range so great that had we started at the Equator and sailed north, we would have ended up only 400 miles from the North Pole (about the top of Greenland). The scale of the itinerary might be difficult to appreciate without experiencing the changing weather, the diverse flora and fauna, and the fluctuating moods of the ocean. As we gathered together for one final party, our mood is one of celebration for friends met, islands visited, and oceans crossed.
