Tropical Atlantic Ocean
The days at sea are ticking along as we continue to reach for the Equator. For those addicted to television and who can only survive with a daily planner that is full and ever-changing, a day at sea might seem like a day in prison. But for we on board, who appreciate an unfettered horizon and the clarity of the blue sky, our time at sea is a fantastic opportunity to relax, socialise, and to learn. We have kept up a busy lecture programme on many topics germane to our travels, and these have raised our awareness of such disparate subjects as oceanographic currents, the French Revolution, and the endemic plants of remote islands. Pictured is our Expedition Leader, Tom Ritchie, explaining to us the intricacies of sea turtles.
