Floreana Island
Today the ocean is very calm and it looks like an immense mirror reflecting the already strong sunrays! Our landing at Post Office Bay couldn’t be easier; we got trapped by the enchantment of the waves sweeping the greenish sand of the beach. Once again we were transported with the voice of the naturalist and their histories through time when describing the historical facts of people traveling from far to try to establish in this place.
Later on, the snorkeling option stimulated our brains with so many new colors, feelings and sensations. The bright fish everywhere surrounded us, and the different tints of the ocean gave us the feeling of floating free in an atmosphere shared only with the sea lions.
The hike in the afternoon brought us to visit the flamingos’ lagoon. This place is so remote that our minds were wondering, how come so much beauty is hidden so far?
The flamingos were totally indifferent to our presence, and while observing them, a yellow warbler was “dancing” all around us trying to catch some bugs. Time has no friends and no enemies, so before we knew the sun was just setting, bathing us all with its golden, almost magical rays.
