Española Island

Galápagos Islands, our destination for the week.
Aboard the Islander, our home, headed by Captain Garces
Lynn, Pato, Daniel, & Gaby teaching us along the way
Amazing views, we climbed to the stairs of Bartolomé
Pods of dolphins, common and bottle nosed; whales—orca and Bryde’s, we were lucky
Ashore marine iguanas, lizards, finches & sea birds, we checked off our list
George, Lonesome, giant tortoises on Santa Cruz Island
Only seen in the Galápagos, we spotted several endemic species
Snorkeling, we dove into the aquarium of the undersea world

Isabela & Fernandina, the westernmost islands of the archipelago
Sending or retrieving mail, Post Office Bay, flamingos on Floreana
Lava or Galápagos, I know the name started like that…
Albatross, soaring, dancing, clicking, wandering about, jumping off the cliffs of Espanola
Nazca, blue, & red boobies, we saw all three
Darwin, the islands famed scientist; we followed in his footprints
Saving the islands, conservation, we leave with fond memories, pictures, and new friends
