At sea along the Spanish Coast
A relaxing day at sea allowed us to look back on the historical waters we have been sailing through. After a busy day in Menorca, we are now on our way to the Iberian Peninsula and mainland Spain. Our next stop is the Alhambra, the pinnacle of the Islamic architecture in Europe. In preparation for this, we had various presentations on the history of the area and photo talks.
Sunny skies and light wind brought many out on the decks to enjoy the nice weather. A few shearwaters and gulls passed by, and a turtle dove made a few appearances, possibly the same bird has been riding along with us for a week now. Reading a book while sipping a coffee on deck was certainly a nice way to spend the day.
Just after lunch, we passed close to a tall ship sailing vessel that is a training ship. It was a fitting vessel to see on this epic voyage through such incredible destinations. I do think most everyone was very happy to be on our beautiful ship with all our comforts, and simply admire them sailing by.
