Punta Vicente Roca, Isabela Island & Punta Espinosa, Fernandina Island

The geology of both places is astonishing: big shield volcanoes with very young lava flows are found all over.

Many things can happen to people during this visit, one of them is the sense of discovery, which drives them to do and enjoy activities they never thought possible; for instance, to be so immersed in volcanic formations and different types of lava flows with many interesting shapes.

And of course, the water here is fascinating. Indeed, we saw the rare looking ocean sunfish, flightless cormorants and penguins standing on top of small lava tubes with cactus and mangroves trees in the background. The sea turtles were here and there; when a group of snorkelers got in the water, they allowed everyone to have the closest view yet during this trip.

In places like the Galápagos, where our deep willingness to learn crosses paths with an amazing number of animals and species, appreciation for nature arises.

Today we were feeling connected with the splendor of the island, exposed to the gentle breeze and sunshine, making today’s visit another memorable experience in the Galápagos.
