Cerro Dragon & Chinese Hat
We had a sunny day, with fair winds and lovely sightings; but this is no cause for surprise, as we are in the Galápagos Islands. We had the opportunity to snorkel twice today and both sites were great. In the morning we enjoyed the underwater view of a colourful wall painted by marine invertebrates, while in the afternoon we explored a shallower area with turquoise waters and colourful fish, even a few penguins joined the snorkelers for a while. A few land iguanas were spotted in the morning, as we hiked the rocky trail of Cerro Dragon. In the afternoon we enjoyed the company of several sea lions while stretching under the instructions of our wellness specialist, Patty Cueva. Kayakers had an intrepid adventure exploring the coastline of James Island, while others chose to do the same in our comfortable Zodiacs, in the company of expert naturalists.
