Floreana Island
A full day visiting this wonderful island provided us with unforgettable memories. Beautiful volcanic landscapes merged with a deep blue ocean, and were the perfect setting for all the great wildlife sightings we had during the day. Snorkeling and glass bottom boat outings were wonderful. Crystal clear waters made us believe we were part of a giant aquarium. Playful sea lions, many colorful fish species and the always-respected sharks were stars that appeared at their best in front of our eyes. In the afternoon we enjoyed a picturesque lagoon where various bird species roam in their shallow and peaceful waters. Without any doubt the greater flamingos that live here stole the show. A mystical soft light added a mysterious halo to the flamingos’ spectacular pink colors. Just take a look at the wonderful picture one of our guests took today.
To top the day off, a glorious rainbow was the golden ending to our day in Floreana. A big array of new sensations, memories and experiences made our hearts and spirits closer than ever to the natural world.
