This afternoon we moved the ship from Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island, to Aeolian Cove, Baltra Island. We have just spent two days in port after a shorter than normal charter, and used the time well. The deck department was sanding and painting. The hotel department was cleaning and polishing. The expedition department was researching in the CDRS library and cleaning equipment (never mind all the inventories).
However tonight, after a few words from our Captain Marcelo Rojas, it was time to chow down to an excellent barbecue. We even had a birthday celebration! Toni Davis, our Video Chronicler on board got the whole bit, cake and candles and many offers to dance from the crew. A good evening, for sure.
