Floreana Island
Floreana at sunrise shines with beauty. The animals are just waking up, becoming involved in their everyday activities. The sea is flat calm and the air temperature is pleasant.
Our guests are also just waking up, and before they are entirely conscious, we lower the Zodiacs and head off on a cruise along the coast. By the time everyone’s eyes are completely open this morning, beautiful sights overwhelm us. We enjoy the new, never before seen landscapes and unique flora. Our minds are occupied with pure and peaceful thoughts. We are overpowered by fresh feelings, as fresh as one can dream of.
A pelican is also waking up; unaware of our presence he seems as well to enjoy the morning breeze. Other species join us on our early outing. We see flamingoes in flight. Flying too, but underwater, we watch the Galapagos penguins; the second smallest penguins in the world.
What a way to start the day. A splendid morning that foretells of yet another great day of adventure in the Galapagos Islands!
